Hang Gliding Accident

A man was taken to hospital with facial and chest injuries following a hang gliding accident which left him unconscious.

The man, an RAF pilot, crashed into the side of a hill East Hill, Rothbury on an exercise in Northumberland.
An RAF helicopter airlifted the man to hospital.

The Air Accident Investigation Branch is overseeing an investigation into the incident.
