Investment Fund Completes Two Major Deals
Irwin Mitchell’s Corporate team has advised Australian-headquartered Vison Global Growth Fund on two investments which will support further growth within two ambitious UK businesses.
As part of Vision’s investment strategy it has acquired a 30% stake in Kingsway Group Global Limited. Based in Kent, the innovative business is at the forefront of anti-ligature design, supplying complete door systems, hardware and washroom accessories that improve safety and reduce risk. Its products are widely used in hospitals and care homes.
The second deal concerns the acquisition of a minority interest of 37.5% of Elmbridge Pump Company Limited, the parent company of Dutypoint Limited, a leading manufacturing group of fluid technology solutions.
Birmingham-based corporate Partner Nick Dawson and Solicitor Tom Wisniewski advised on both transactions.
Commenting on the deals, Tom Wisniewski said: “Both Kingsway Group Global and Elmbridge Pump Company are well-established businesses which have strong management teams and impressive growth track records. These latest acquisitions reflect Vision’s diversified investment strategy and also its willingness to work alongside ambitious businesses which are looking to expand their footprint in their respective sectors.”
