What: Inclusive, gutsy challenges. Swim, bike, run – or do all 3!
Where: Dorney Lake, Windsor
When: Saturday 19 August 2017
Why: It’s time to celebrate the ‘Everyday Superhero’!
It feels sensational to be supporting the Superhero Series, a bold new mass-participation sports series for the Everyday Superhero – the UK’s 12 million people with disabilities.
Founded by Paralympian Sophia Warner, Superhero Series gives everyone, from complete beginners to experienced athletes, the chance to unleash their inner superpower and achieve an inspirational goal.
On 19 August at Dorney Lake, Windsor, the Superhero Tri will see people with all kinds of disabilities come together and compete alongside like-minded individuals on a mass scale.
More than 1,500 Superheroes, including Paralympians and celebrities, will enjoy unique challenges that throw out restrictive rules and regulations and cut-off times that can deter or prevent many people with disabilities taking part in organised events.
The series kicks off with triathlons because swimming, cycling and running are the three most popular disability sports. Superheroes can fly solo or unite with friends and family to do as much or as little as they wish with as much or as little support as they need.
The emphasis is very much on fun, so grab your mask and cape and join the UK’s only sports series where people with disabilities call the shots.
If you like the idea of supporting the first-ever Superhero Series event, then there’s still time to sign up to take part.
You don't have to do a whole triathlon to earn your Superhero status. This is a chance for families and friends to take on a stage each in a relay to share the work and the fun.
Anyone can take part as long as at least one of your team has a disability. Head over to their website and take a look at the Superhero Tri that would suit you best, then get a team together and register to be a part of a truly historic event.
There’ll also be live music and entertainment, adventure sports, delicious food and drink and so much more – miss it and you’ll miss out!
Why not pledge to be a part of the Superhero Series now?
Whether you take part in the Tri for a charity, sign up with a disabled friend or family member to take part together, volunteer at the event or simply come along to cheer everyone on – pledge to be a part of a truly SUPER day out.
Once you’ve signed up, or if you’ve done it already then head over to our pledge page and show how proud you are to Be Part Of It.
As soon as we heard about the unique nature of the Superhero Series we simply had to be part of it.
In addition to sponsoring the event, we’ve entered a number of teams captained by our celebrity Superhero Hannah Cockroft.
Our partnership with the Superhero Series is part of our Don’t Quit, Do It campaign to encourage more of the UK’s 12 million disabled people to get involved with sport. This event is a perfect way to achieve this and celebrate how lucky we are to know so many everyday superheroes.
