Success At Charity Bollywood Theatre Night At West Yorkshire Playhouse

Over £2,000 has been raised for the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT). Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds office and Kings Chambers joined forces to host a Bollywood evening at the West Yorkshire Playhouse to raise money for CBIT earlier this year. CBIT supports children, young people, their families and professionals and helps people to come to terms with what has happened and how to deal with the uncertainty that the future may hold.

The evening event featured a new musical that retells the greatest love story from the east, Laila Manju, a contemporary musical developed by the creators of Britain’s Got Bhangra.

Carolyn Heaton, an expert serious injury lawyer at Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds office, said: “The event at the West Yorkshire Playhouse was a fantastic experience and we were delighted to host it and help to raise money to allow CBIT to continue the fantastic work it does in our area. Through our work we understand just how much of an impact brain injuries can be on young people, as well as their families, who face challenges every day when dealing with the impact of a brain injury.”

Sarah Knada at Child Brain Injury Trust said: “The money raised through ticket sales and a raffle on the night will be absolutely invaluable for us and enable us to continue providing help and support to young people and families affected by brain injuries.”
