Our Summer Of Sport

Thanks to everyone who helped celebrate the skill and ability in inclusive sport this summer.

Thanks for playing, watching, volunteering, cheering and coming together to make it all possible.

Thanks for being Be Part Of It.

Our Don’t Quit, Do It campaign continues to raise awareness of the many benefits inclusive sport brings and throughout a summer of sport, we wanted to do even more.

The World Para Athletics Championships

As the Official Legal Services Provider of the World Para Athletics Championships London 2017, we are proud to have been part of such a stunning sporting spectacle with excitement and inclusivity in equal measure.

From 14 to 23 July, the London Stadium was a feel-good festival of inclusivity as disabled athletes from around the world completed for glory in front of thousands of fans.

The championships gave out 213 medal events, featuring approximately 1,300 athletes, held across 10 days.

The World Para Athletics Championships came to a close, with Great Britain picking up 18 gold medals at the London Stadium.

Hannah Cockroft was the star, winning gold in 100m T34, 400m T34 and 800m T34 meaning she has still never been beaten in a global championship dating back to her first in 2011.

The Superhero Series

We were proud to support the Superhero Series, an event that gave everyone, from complete beginners to experienced athletes, the chance to unleash their inner superpower and achieve an inspirational goal.

On 19 August at Dorney Lake, Windsor, the Superhero Series brought people together with all kinds of disabilities to run, swim, cycle, walk and push to achieve their goals.

More than 1,500 Superheroes, including Paralympians and celebrities, enjoyed the unique challenges that throw out restrictive rules and regulations and cut-off times that can deter or prevent many people with disabilities taking part in organised events.

We assembled a truly stunning team of Superheroes with the help of Hannah Cockroft, which included our clients Edward and Daisy, who all performed heroics on a day that'll live long in the memory.

Parallel London

As a Parallel London partner we enjoyed being part of an event which encourages participation from people using wheelchairs, frames, or any conveyance they found necessary to get around a one, five- or ten-kilometre course around the Olympic Park in Stratford.

Parallel London took place on Sunday 3 September, offering spectators and participants a fully accessible fun run and free family festival.

All ages and abilities took part in the 10km, 5km, 1km, 100m and the Super Sensory 1km. There were no cut off times, with everyone running together side by side.

Once again we brought a brilliant team together to take part in the different races, which included the inspirational young Ola and Matthew.
