Repetitive strain injury is a broad diagnosis used to cover many different types of soft tissue injury including carpel tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow and tendonitis.

Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) is often caused by repetitive movements or actions at work. It can also be caused by working in awkward positions for long periods of time.

A wide variety of workers can be affected by repetitive strain injury, from heavy manual workers and butchers to office workers. The key tasks which may lead to RSI are heavy lifting or repetitive movements.

Hundreds of thousands of workers in the UK suffer from some form of repetitive strain injury.  As RSI can often be prevented by following suitable safety procedures, sufferers can often claim compensation for their injuries.
