Expertise And Understanding From Irwin Mitchell

Fractured bones can occur as a result of slips, trips, being struck by falling objects and a variety of other accidents in the workplace. As a worker, you have a right to expect your employer to provide adequate protection from risks arising from your job. When that protection is not provided and an injury involving a fracture is the result, you could make a claim for compensation.

At Irwin Mitchell we fight fearlessly to achieve the best outcome for you whether your fracture injury is minor or major.  We’re renowned for our understanding of the issues affecting you and your family due to a fracture injury at work, and we know what positive action to take to make a difference.

Our lawyers offer the highest level of professionalism and expertise, combined with dedication and sensitivity.

Above all, we put you first.

Handling Fracture Injuries At Work With Expertise And Sensitivity

Our team of specialist solicitors can investigate your fracture claim and help you to claim the compensation you deserve.

Broken bone injuries can happen in any line of work - but often they result from a worker:

  • Falling
  • Being hit by a falling item
  • Making contact with machinery or suffering crush injuries

Fractures can range in severity from hairline fractures (where the bone is only partially fractured) to simple fractures (broadly, a single crack across the shaft of a bone) to compound or open fractures (where the broken end of a bone is protruding through the skin). We have successfully claimed fracture injury compensation for clients with each of these types of fracture.

Even if you think the injury was your fault, your employer at the time may still be held responsible so it’s important that you seek advice following your injury.

Proven Expertise In Fracture Injuries At Work

Irwin Mitchell has a proven track record in dealing with fracture injury claims involving clients who sustained fractures and broken limbs or bones as a result of injury in the workplace. We have worked on cases involving broken ankles, fingers, arms, hands, hips, legs, ribs and toes in the workplace.

We will also consider any ongoing problems you may suffer as a result of your fracture injury. Some people suffer from long-term aches or sensitivity to the cold, or possible early development of arthritis in the affected area.

It is important to have a solicitor that considers the whole picture including the potential future effects of your injury, any treatment that may be necessary in the future and whether your injury is likely to have an impact on your ability to work now or in the future. With years of experience in this area you can be sure that Irwin Mitchell will consider all of these factors when putting together your case.

Irwin Mitchell is also one of the largest and most experienced personal injury law firms in the country.

Our team includes many of the country’s finest personal injury lawyers. They operate in highly specialised teams, offering the highest level of legal expertise in fracture injury claims.

Office Worker Recovers £11,000 After Fall At Work

The specialist Personal Injury team at Irwin Mitchell Solicitors has successfully secured compensation for an office worker following an accident at work.

Our client Sarah was leaving the office after a day at work when she fell and severely injured herself.  The fall was caused when Sarah’s shoe caught in a gap where two pieces of carpet were supposed to join.

Sarah was treated for a closed head injury, a broken collar bone and wrist and later underwent a course of physiotherapy for the continued pain in her wrist and shoulder.

Sarah was unable to carry out simple household chores without assistance and was also unable to drive for many months.

Sarah instructed Irwin Mitchell Solicitors to investigate her claim of compensation against her employers.  Sarah’s employers admitted primary liability and she was awarded £11,000 in compensation for her injuries and for the care and assistance she had needed following the accident.
