We believe in continuous improvement and support all our people in their personal development via both in-house and externally funded courses where appropriate.
We have recently entered into an innovative new partnership with The University of Law to create the IMU Law & Business School. Working alongside our in-house learning and development team, The University of Law will bring their technical expertise supporting the creation of a range of development programmes creating a career-long learning path for our people.
Whether you are a trainee, litigation assistant, marketeer, partner or work in another discipline, Irwin Mitchell is committed to helping you reach the height of your potential.
We invest in our people from the very outset of their legal careers and the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) is often the starting point. CILEx is the professional body which represents 22,000 trainee and practicing Legal Executives. Their role is to enhance the role and standing of Legal Executives in the legal profession. For almost fifty years, they have been offering unparalleled access to a flexible career in law. They work closely with Government and the Ministry of Justice and are recognised in England and Wales as one of the three core regulators of the legal profession, alongside barristers and solicitors.
CILEx (formerly ILEX) was founded in 1892 and became a company limited by guarantee in 1963 with the support and co-operation of the Law Society. Currently, CILEx has branches throughout England and Wales and many members overseas.
Irwin Mitchell has a very close working relationship with CILEx and offers bespoke study in context with the Irwin Mitchell business.
