Partner at Irwin Mitchell

Partner specialising in environmental and health and safety business compliance and crisis management issues for corporate clients, particularly in the manufacturing, construction, retail, and leisure industries. He regularly advises and defends clients facing prosecution for breaches of environmental, health and safety, food safety and trading standards legislation.

Working with the manufacturing, construction, retail, food and leisure industries means that David also regularly provides non-contentious risk management advice concerning areas as diverse as environmental issues through to health and safety and product liability issues.

He has significant experience of the instant investigation by regulatory authorities of breaches of environmental, health and safety and other regulatory legislation. He also has significant experience of dealing with investigations by Police Forces relating to individual and corporate manslaughter.

David regularly delivers training sessions to corporate client in the areas of law in which he specialises. He has also appeared on radio and television on numerous occasions to discuss regulatory issues.

He has the distinction of having appeared as an advocate before over 250 different Courts and Regulatory Tribunals in England and Wales and has gained a wealth of practical risk management experience in doing so.
