More About Me

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?

While at school, I attended a careers fair, where a female solicitor described her work and the people she had helped.  This inspired me to study Law at Glasgow University.  At an early stage in my career I identified personal injury as an interesting and rewarding area of law and specialised in obtaining compensation for victims of accidents.

What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

It is incredibly satisfying to know that you have helped someone with a catastrophic injury to obtain a new home, adapted for their needs or an advanced prosthetic limb to increase their mobility and independence.  Obtaining compensation for people with serious injuries can have a major impact on their quality of life and fighting for the money to provide financial security is very rewarding.

What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?

It is fantastic to be part of a team who are passionate about helping people with serious injuries.

With Irwin Mitchell, I am able to work in a specialist team, but also have the benefit of being part of a large organisation with access to a network of solicitors specialising in other areas of law, who I can call on for advice or support for my clients.

What Do You Do Away From The Office?

I have recently moved to Newcastle, so I am trying out the local bars and restaurants.  I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and catching up with friends.  I'm a fair weather walker and love cooking and good food.  I also enjoy foreign travel, particularly south East Asia and Australia.
