About My Role

I have worked in the field of financial crime and regulatory law for the past 7 years and have developed a specialism in the areas of defending individuals in complex and large scale commercial fraud and financial crime matters.

I have had particular experience in VHCC cases in general, large scale mobile phone fraud (commonly referred to as MTIC fraud) and lengthy and complex confiscation matters. I also have experience in the field of asset recovery and restraint proceedings. 

I am familiar with and have defended prosecutions brought by prosecution authorities such as the Serious Fraud Office, Revenue and Customs Prosecution Office and the Crown Prosecution Service.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?

I wanted a challenging and demanding career which would also allow me to assist and support those who find themselves in difficult circumstances and need specialist guidance. I enjoy being able to provide this guidance, particularly in testing and difficult situations.

What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

I enjoy being the representative between my clients and the legal system and being their aide and advisor. Most clients often find themselves in a very unfamiliar and vulnerable environment and rely on me to not only guide and advise them but also to robustly challenge and defend their interests where there is any injustice or unfairness to the client in the proceedings.

What Do You Do Away From The Office?

I spend most of my spare time with my ever increasing family and friends and particularly enjoy cooking and entertaining at my home in Sheffield.
