Biography

Natalie has over five years of experience across the whole spectrum of insolvency work related to financially distressed businesses and individuals, and provides specialist advice on all aspects of insolvency law.

She regularly assists insolvency practitioners in respect of all types of appointment which they hold or are considering taking on, whether formal or informal, and whether over individuals or businesses. Her other clients include individuals and unincorporated bodies; companies and their directors; banks and financial institutions; lenders; invoice discounting and factoring companies; and accountants.

Natalie is based in Yorkshire, but handle assignments for clients throughout the UK and abroad.

Recent highlights:

  • Major shopping centre investor: provided advice on validity of security granted over a shopping centre in relation to a debt purchase from the Co-operative Bank.
  • Saks: provided advice on a number of contentious claims arising within the Liquidation of a franchise.
  • ACCA: appointed Investigation Officer for complaints against Insolvency Practitioners.
  • Rimmer Bankruptcy: acting on behalf of the Trustee in Bankruptcy, successfully challenged a substantial pay-out under an insurance policy and recovered in excess of £200,000 for the benefit of creditors in the bankruptcy.
  • St Lawrence Working Men’s Club: complex trust application to vest the club’s property in the club committee where the property had fallen into a grey area of ownership due to deregistration of the club.
