Michael Bennett

Mike advises on all aspects of contentious and non contentious insolvency and restructuring and has a particular expertise in property insolvency related matters including LPA Receivership type work. 

Mike is appointed by clients across a number of sectors including accountants (KPMG, PwC and RSM Tenon),  banks (HSBC and Bank of Cyprus) and chartered surveyors (Edward Symmons and GVA Grimley on LPA Receivership appointments). 

Additionally he is regularly appointed to advise directors and shareholders in directors disqualification proceedings and shareholder disputes. He is currently engaged in advising on a high level shareholder dispute with a value of circa £10 million.

Mike is a part qualified Fixed Charge Receiver having passed the Fixed Charge Receiver exam in June 2011.

He is also a visiting lecturer for the University of the West England/NCLT.
