Biography
I am a specialist clinical negligence solicitor, helping people who have been injured as a result of negligent medical treatment to secure compensation for those injuries.
Negligent medical treatment might have been received at the hands of, for example, a GP, an orthopaedic surgeon, in an accident and emergency department, or even at the hands of an ambulance service. I have successfully brought cases in all of these areas of clinical negligence and more.
I recently won a £500,000 claim at trial for one of my clients where the defendant wouldn't admit liability and so the claim couldn't be settled. However, the majority of my cases are settled before trial, meaning less pressure for the client.
Recent cases that I have settled before trial have involved an amputation following failure to treat an ankle infection; loss of any hip joint following a longstanding failure to treat a post total hip replacement infection; and catastrophic bilateral humeral fractures as a result of poor nursing procedures.
Publications
I have had a number of case reports published in PI Focus and on Lawtel. I have also had successful settlements reported in the local and national press. For example, I was quoted widely in the press in relation to the case of John Halliday v Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust which I settled in my client’s favour for the sum of £1.5 million.

"I couldn't rate Mealla Logue from Irwin Mitchell highly enough. She has been very professional, friendly and helpful throughout our case and made me feel confident that we were in the best possible hands in what has been a long and complex claim." - 5* Trustpilot review
