I am an Associate Solicitor in the Leeds office. I specialise in helping people who have suffered serious injuries as a result of road traffic accidents, or accidents at work. I am involved in cases concerning adults and children. I particularly specialise in helping people who have suffered brain injury and/or multiple orthopaedic injuries claim compensation.

What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

I enjoy supporting people through what can sometimes seem a daunting process and helping them to recover funds which will assist their recovery and rehabilitation, and meet their future needs. 

What Do You Do Outside Of Work? 

Outside work, I am busy looking after my two children and managing their hectic social lives! I am also a Parent Governor at the local school. I enjoy yoga and holidays to remote Scottish beaches.

    Woman Injured On Yorkshire’s Most High-Risk Road Speaks Out On Importance Of Improved Safety

    This case shows the consequences of failing to be fully aware of other road users and adjusting driving styles to suit the conditions, particularly on roads such as this which are known to be dangerous. Driving in the winter poses a number of additional problems, such as low sun and glare, which were partly responsible for this terrible accident that left a young girl with life-changing injuries. “The A61 between the M1 and Wakefield has been described as the most high-risk road in the region and it is important steps are taken to prevent incidents like Megan’s in the future, as a split second distraction or lack of attention can have a life-changing impact on victims. “Megan was only 15 at the time of the accident and has faced a number of years of rehabilitation and recovery. Thanks to the support network she has, she was able to go on to college and is now doing very well but sadly others have not been so fortunate.”

    Leeds Man Suffers Brain Injury After Being Knocked From Bicycle

    “Mr Carter was very seriously injured in this road traffic collision and is now facing a long and difficult battle to get himself back on track. The crash indicates the importance of road safety and remaining vigilant while behind the wheel and the damage that can be caused when motorists do not take their responsibilities seriously. “We are working with Daniel and his family to investigate the incident and hope to secure the necessary funds to help him with his recovery and rehabilitation and to provide him with the specialist care he needs and will continue to need in the future. “Sadly we see so many similar cases and it is important as we start “Road Safety Week” that drivers take note of cases such as this and take action to improve the standard of safety on the roads. This includes looking out for each other, particularly vulnerable road users, such as cyclists like Daniel.”
