I joined Irwin Mitchell's family team in May 2011 having trained with a leading regional firm in the South West.  I co-work with Alison Hawes on divorce and financial cases, especially those with a business element.

I qualified as a commercial litigator before moving into family law and I enjoy applying my commercial knowledge to achieve good outcomes for clients, particularly where a family business is involved.

I read French and German at the University of Birmingham and then law at the College of Law in Guildford.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?

I was looking for a career which allowed me to be intellectually stimulated on a daily basis and to use that knowledge to provide people with robust, transparent advice.

What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

To support a client through a difficult time and apply legal knowledge and understanding to secure a fair deal for the client which leaves them in a strong position to move forward.

What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?

Irwin Mitchell is a firm which prioritises the individual both in its service to clients and the value it places on quality teams with committed and enthusiastic individuals.

What Do You Do Away From The Office?

I studied at University in Aix-en-Provence as part of my French and German degree.  I continue to be passionate about these two countries and make regular visits.  I particularly enjoy French cookery and film.
