Lindsey Henderson

I'm a clinical negligence solicitor in Newcastle. I specialise in a range of medical law work including cases against hospitals, GPs and other health professionals.

I have experience in cases involving delayed diagnosis of different types of cancer, injuries caused at birth and errors made during surgery, as well as pressure sore and elderly abuse cases. I have also handled a number of fatal cases where I represented family members at coroner's inquests.

I have particular expertise in cosmetic surgery cases, regularly advising on issues such as substandard breast surgery, adverse outcomes following dermal fillers and other treatments routinely seen within this area.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?

Prior to embarking on a career in law, I was a radiographer in the Health Service. I always wanted to be a lawyer and started studying for my law degree when I was working part-time and looking after my young children. I spent a number of years working and studying before qualifying as a solicitor. I feel very privileged to be working in a career that I really love.

What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

The most rewarding part of my job is helping clients and their families achieve their aims at what can be a most distressing and difficult time in their lives, whether this is to secure compensation to fund their care needs and rehabilitation, or to obtain answers about the treatment received.

What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?

I'm part of a caring, compassionate and hardworking team of lawyers who always strive to do the very best for our clients.

What Do You Do Away From The Office?

I enjoy travelling and relaxing with family and friends.
