Hannah Wall

I am a solicitor in the Private Wealth team and advise on contentious trust and succession matters (with a particular focus on cross border issues), including the resolution of disputes relating to the validity of wills and trusts, the administration of estates and trusts and actions brought under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) 1975 Act.

I also advise on a wide range of non-contentious private client matters, including the preparation of wills and lasting powers of attorney, trust creation and administration, tax and succession and estate planning.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?

Before embarking on a legal career, I spent four years working in the classical music industry as an agent for classical musicians. My role involved strategic career management of a roster of clients, sales worldwide with a particular focus on German speaking territories and North America and contract negotiation .

Whilst exciting, the job was not for life. Consequently, I looked for a professional services industry, which would provide greater intellectual challenge whilst retaining the elements of the agency world I loved; client management, enhancing clients’ options and protecting their rights. Law ticked these boxes!

What Is the Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

Meeting new clients, listening to them and helping them to achieve their objectives in as smooth and efficient a way as possible.

What Do You Do Away From The Office?

I can most often be found outside at the weekend to counteract the stresses of the London weekday existence – running, walking, cycling (gardening!). This is usually swiftly followed or punctuated by lengthy visits to the many country pubs where I live!
