Dalene Whelan

Our associated firm, Irwin Mitchell Scotland LLP was established on 26 April 2011. I am a trainee solicitor based in Irwin Mitchell Scotland LLP's Glasgow recoveries department.

I act on behalf of a number of institutional lenders and other businesses in a variety of civil litigation cases involving property, professional negligence and residential tenancy law.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?

My first degree was in business law and whilst embarking on this course I developed a keen interest in the law and the natural progression after graduation was to embark on the fast-track law degree. I haven't looked back since!

What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of the role and find providing clients with comprehensive advice and achieving practical and cost-effective solutions for them to be thoroughly rewarding.

What Do You Like About Working At Irwin Mitchell?

The people who work at Irwin Mitchell boast a huge wealth of knowledge and experience and the open and informal structure and support facilities make it a great place to work and learn. It is a friendly, modern and forward-thinking law firm.

What Do You Do Away From The Office?

I am a keen gym member and have recently taken up running. I have just completed my first 10k as part of an Irwin Mitchell corporate team and am now in training for a half-marathon. I also enjoy reading, creative writing and spending time with friends.
