Amanda Marsh

I am an associate solicitor in the Military Team at Irwin Mitchell with over 20 years experience of acting for clients with serious personal injuries. I have significant experience in dealing with applications under both the Criminal Injuries Compensation scheme but more particularly the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme. I have a special interest in representing members of the Armed Forces and a determination to ensure that each and every soldier secures the settlement to which they are entitled under the AFCS.

What Inspired You To Get Into Law?

Growing up in a family of lawyers I was aware that the right representation could change lives and the chance to do that was never an opportunity that I was going to miss.

What Is The most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?

The satisfaction of fighting for an individual, and succeeding against a system that can be overwhelming at a time that is often difficult enough, relieving the stress of a situation and achieving the correct outcome sometimes against the odds.

What Do you Like To Do Away From The Office?

I take piano lessons, sing in a choir and enjoy dancing lessons. I am a keen amateur baker and have won competitions. I am also a trained volunteer crisis helpline counsellor at NSPCC Childline.
