Alastair Wallace

I'm an associate solicitor specialising in public law and human rights work on behalf of individuals and community groups.

I qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and was a founding partner of nationally rated law firm Public Law Solicitors before joining Irwin Mitchell in 2015.

I have a broad range of experience in community care and a particular interest in the rights of third parties in planning cases. I'm recognised as a leading practitioner of the law of town and village greens.

I regularly deliver training to other solicitors and advisers. I've conducted cases in the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal, written and spoken about public law.

I'm cited by Chambers Directory as a leading practitioner in the field of civil liberties and human rights.

"Alastair Wallace maintains a notable profile in the area, with an impressive breadth of experience in social care. He is well versed in cases involving third-party interests." - Chambers 2015

I have in the past written for Legal Action magazine and the journal Mineral Planning.
