Natalie Barnes

Natalie is a solicitor in our national Banking and Finance team. She has extensive experience in non-contentious banking and finance transactions, but has a particular focus on receivables financing, asset based lending and acquisition finance, dealing with both domestic and cross border matters.

Natalie advises on bilateral, syndicated and club facilities and advises both lenders and borrowers alike. She also has in-house experience, having undertaken a secondment to GE Capital Bank Limited.

Recent highlights:

  • Acting for Centric Commercial Finance on a £7.5m working capital line to fund metals trading and recycling specialist, F J Church with its ongoing expansion into new and profitable business areas.
  • Acting for the asset based lending division of a UK high street bank in relation to the provision of a multi-million receivables and inventory facility to the UK subsidiary of a well-known luxury stationary manufacturer as part of a wider global financing of the group being led out of the USA.
  • Working with the asset based lending division of a UK high street bank to help develop their ABL product offering by drafting the facility agreement and then using this document in relation to a £18m ABL facility being offered to a perfume importation business.
  • Acting for Investec Bank PLC in relation to acquisition finance and ongoing working capital facilities  in connection with the acquisition by Electra Partners of South Lakeland Parks, Southview and Manor Park Holiday Parks.
  • Acting for a UK high street bank in relation to a variation, consent and priority arrangement in relation to an existing customer within the energy and utilities sector.
  • Acting for the asset-based lending division of a UK high street bank in relation to a multi-million receivables financing facility to one of the UKs largest container transport operators.
  • Acting for Centric Commercial Finance on a working capital facility to LDC-backed Antler luggage to support their global expansion plans.
