Sion Kingston Has Also Been Appointed Head Of Personal Injury

Leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell has announced the appointment of Andrew Merrick as its Regional Managing Partner in Leeds.

Andrew, who is also Irwin Mitchell’s Chief Financial Officer and a member of the board, joined the firm in 2013 from the AIM-listed airline and logistics group Dart Group PLC.

Andrew’s predecessor, Jane Wright, retired in April this year. Jane joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 1990, and was one of the pioneering lawyers to promote rehabilitation as a fundamental component of personal injury litigation, and that the individual needs of an injured person must be at the centre of any legal representation.

Another Leeds Partner, Sion Kingston has also been appointed as Head of Personal Injury for the office. A highly respected serious Injury lawyer, Sion joined Irwin Mitchell as a paralegal in 1990, and qualified into Personal Injury in 1994 helping seriously injured people with their recovery and rehabilitation.

In his new position he will oversee the personal injury work done at Irwin Mitchell’s Leeds office and ensure the team further strengthens its impressive reputation for helping people affected by, among other areas of law, road accidents, medical negligence and asbestos related diseases.
