Irwin Mitchell raising funds for local charities in 2017
Leading national law firm Irwin Mitchell has announced its charities of the year for 2017. Employees in each office voted to support a number of different charities throughout 2017.
This year, a range of organisations from children’s hospitals to air ambulance groups, bodies supporting those trapped in poverty or homelessness to rape crisis centres, have been chosen to benefit from the backing of Irwin Mitchell’s Charity of the Year programme. Employees will help change lives across their local communities, by donating the proceeds of charitable activities, such as bake sales, dress down days and special events, to the local causes.
Irwin Mitchell’s Charity of the Year initiative is part of the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation, an independent registered charity set up by the partners and employees of the law firm. More than £1.4m has been donated to worthy causes since the Foundation was formed in 1997.
Adrian Budgen, Partner and Head of the Irwin Mitchell Charities Foundation at Irwin Mitchell, says: “We are delighted to be supporting all the chosen charities across the offices as our Charities of the Year and are looking forward to hosting plenty of fundraising activities to raise money for these very worthwhile causes.”
“Our employees vote at a local level and are very supportive of the charities we get involved with and
Irwin Mitchell is passionate about supporting and helping the local community. We have already kick-started fundraising across the offices and we have lots of events planned in the coming months to raise as much money as possible for the charities.”
