Irwin Mitchell Appoints New Real Estate Partner In London
National law firm Irwin Mitchell has appointed real estate specialist Claire Illingworth as a partner.
Claire has been an associate in the London real estate team for six years. She has been instrumental in the success of the firm’s real estate finance team in London. One of her key clients includes HSBC who she has advised for five years on a large number of transactions. These include a £39 m facility for the acquisition of a shopping centre in Reading and a £33 m development facility for the redevelopment of office space in central London. She advises real estate debt funds and other more specialist lenders, as well as borrowers on the real estate aspects of investment and development finance transactions.
On the pure real estate side she advises property investors, developers and corporates across all sectors with particular experience in the automotive, student accommodation and retail/leisure sectors.
Claire’s promotion takes the number of real estate partners in London to 9 and the BLS London partner team to 26 in total.
