Irwin Mitchell Lawyers Recognised As Leaders In Their Field
Two expert asbestos lawyers from Irwin Mitchell have received official accreditation from the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) after being recognised for their dedication to supporting people who have been diagnosed with industrial disease.
APIL accreditation provides a quality mark of excellence for solicitors and barristers dealing with personal injury claims which helps those looking for legal help to recognise expertise within the legal profession.
Virginia Chalmers, a partner and head of asbestos compensation claims, and associate Isabelle Selley, both based in Bristol, have been recognised for their expertise in acting for clients with asbestos related illnesses in the south west of England.
Virginia has specialised in representing people affected by asbestos related diseases, and their families for more than a decade and is an accredited occupational disease specialist and asbestos disease specialist.
She is one of only three claimant personal injury lawyers in the south west of England to have been named as a leading individual in the Legal 500 – an expert guide to the top law firms and lawyers in the UK.
Isabelle, who qualified as a solicitor in 1994, acts solely for clients and their families affected by asbestos related illnesses and is also a recognised occupational disease specialist and asbestos disease specialist; regularly speaking at medical events and advising clinicians on the rights of patients to benefits and compensation to support them through their illness.
To gain accreditation the pair had to demonstrate significant training and experience in the field of asbestos related illness casework and commitment to educating others – both lawyers and other professionals.
