Experienced Katharine Shaw Joins From Wilsons Law

Irwin Mitchell has appointed experienced family and divorce lawyer Katharine Shaw as a partner in its Southampton office.

Katharine has been working in family law for more than 25 years and is a specialist in divorce and financial claims, children and pre-nuptial disputes. She represents people across the south of England and has taken cases all the way to the court of appeal on behalf of her clients. Katharine is also recommended in the Legal 500 independent guide to the best lawyers in the country.

Irwin Mitchell has a large private client practice after it merged with Berkeley Law and Thomas Eggar in the past couple of years. It also launched its expert Private Wealth offer for clients earlier this year.

The law firm has been involved in some of the most high profile family law cases of the past few years such as the Sharland and Gohil Supreme Court cases in which the two wives successfully challenged their divorce settlements after being misled by their husbands in relation to their wealth.
