Expert Opinion
“It’s often surprising to find out how many people are both unaware of the support that is on offer from charities and organisations and the difference this advice can make to their health and wellbeing.

“We work with many people who have experienced life-altering physical and mental changes, often due to circumstances that were not their own making. Events like this in Rotherham allow anyone suffering from health issues to talk openly with the experts.

“With local doctors and hospitals busier than ever too many of us put off visiting a health professional and neglect problems that could soon become serious. We are there to raise awareness of how to improve, not just your health, but your families and friends who make up the local community.

“We’re delighted to have the support of some fantastic charities and prestigious organisations and be able to offer free health checks and advice to the general public.”

Rosie Mellor, Community Fundraiser from Breast Cancer Care believes these events are a great way of showing people they’re never alone. She said: “As the only UK wide charity providing care, information and support to people affected by breast cancer we see how many different ways it affects those who are diagnosed and their loved ones who share their difficult journeys.

“If you want to know more about signs and symptoms, dealing with the loss of a loved one or just need someone to talk to then we’ll be in Rotherham on 28th October to offer our support”.
