James Bond fans turned on the glitz and the glamour in Manchester in the name of charity last week, raising £14,000 for the Prince’s Trust at a special 007-themed ball organised by national law firm Irwin Mitchell.

The black-tie event at The Hilton Deansgate on Thursday (November 5th) saw guests enjoy a host of Bond-style entertainment throughout the evening, including casino tables, film props, magicians, music from the films and the odd shaken martini thrown in the mix.

Irwin Mitchell’s Manchester office organised the event, arranged to coincide with the release of new 007 adventure Spectre, as part of its involvement in the Prince’s Trust Million Makers initiative.

The national competition challenges corporate teams to work together and come up with ideas to raise £1 million in aid of the charity.

Expert Opinion
“We are delighted that our event proved to be draw and helped to raise such an amount for the fantastic Prince’s Trust.

“Irwin Mitchell is very proud of its corporate social responsibility commitments and we are delighted to once again call on the community across Manchester to help us support a fantastic charity which does such important work.

“There are few better excuses to embrace a bow tie, tuxedo and a bit of glamour than a Bond-themed ball and we’re glad that so many people enjoyed the night.”
