Lawyers Of Glasgow Bin Lorry Victims Welcome FAI Date

Hearing To Examine Tragedy To Be Held In July

19.03.2015

Specialist lawyers representing victims injured in the bin lorry crash in Glasgow in December last year have welcomed the announcement that the fatal accident inquiry (FAI) will be held on July 22nd.

It has been confirmed that the hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court will also come after a preliminary hearing which is due to take place on April 13th.

News of the FAI comes less than a month after the Crown Office announced no charges are to be brought following a review of a police report in relation to the incident on December 22nd, when six people were killed and ten others injured.

Serious injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell Scotland who are acting for victims of the crash have backed the announcement. The legal experts also notably represent injured victims and the families of those killed in the Clutha helicopter tragedy in November 2013.
