Irwin Mitchell Climbs Snowdon To Support RSVP

A team of lawyers from Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office donned their hiking gear last weekend to take on Mount Snowdon in a bid to raise vital funds for their charity of the year, the Rape and Sexual Violence Project (RSVP). 

A 25-strong group from Irwin Mitchell trekked up Wales’ highest mountain on Saturday (September 12th), with the challenge taking a total of seven hours, raising more than £3,500 for RSVP. 

RSVP supports and inspires children and adults who have been affected by sexual violence and abuse and offers tools and understanding to help those affected overcome their experiences. This is a cause close to Irwin Mitchell who have helped many victims of abuse in their line of work.

Olivia Jenkins, a lawyer at Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office who organised the climb, said: 

“I’m so proud of the Birmingham team for raising such a fantastic amount for our charity of the year! 

“We are proud to support this fantastic project, which provides so many children and adults with invaluable support. Hopefully, both the funds that we have raised here and those that we will continue to raise throughout the year will help RSVP to realise their expansion plans and enable them to support more people who are in need in the future. 

“We have seen first-hand the huge, long-term impact that abuse can have on victims, many of whom require specialist support to help them to come to terms with such traumatic experiences.”
