Group Contacted Lawyers Following Illness At Beresford Hotel

Dozens of people have instructed expert public health lawyers at Irwin Mitchell to investigate why a large number of people in their party fell ill during a stay at the Beresford Hotel in Newquay.

The group travelled to the hotel on 27 February 2015 for an annual coach trip and stayed at the hotel for three nights.

A large proportion of the group of 48 people who stayed at the hotel fell ill and suffered from symptoms including vomiting, diarrhoea, headaches, achy limbs and fever. They have also reported to the lawyers that other people staying at the hotel at the time appeared to be suffering with some of these symptoms.

Lawyers at Irwin Mitchell, who have represented those affected by a recent illness outbreak linked to a wedding reception at The Riverside, Leeds, have now begun an investigation into the cause of the illness which is thought to be linked to the Beresford Hotel.
