Expert Lawyers Instructed To Investigate His Treatment By Staffordshire Police
An inquest began last week into the death of a man who died in police custody in Staffordshire on 2 October 2011.
Nicholas Rowley, from Stoke on Trent, was arrested in a car park after failing to comply with an outstanding warrant to appear at Stoke Magistrates Court for an offence of theft. The 34-year-old died the following evening whilst in custody at the Northern Area Custody Facility in Staffordshire.
The inquest will be held at Hanley Town Hall with HM Coroner Ian Smith and is listed between 25 March and 9 April 2015. Nicholas’ family and specialist lawyers at Irwin Mitchell will be attending the hearing.
