Magpas Bring A&E Care By Land And Air To Patients In Life-Threatening Situations
Cambridge law firm Irwin Mitchell has provided its first donation to its 2015 charity of the year, Magpas Helimedix, which provides vital, specialist support at medical emergencies around the East Anglia region.
The £1,500 donation will be used to help the charity buy vital medical supplies, including lifesaving drugs and dressings, to ensure it can treat seriously ill or injured people when arriving at the scene of an incident.
The charity said the supplies it will be able to purchase will equate to around a month’s worth of crucial equipment.
Expert lawyers based at Irwin Mitchell’s Cambridge office are arranging a number of fundraising events and challenges to continue raising money for Magpas throughout 2015, including a Three Peaks climbing challenge and a sky dive.

Expert Opinion
"It's great to know that these initial funds make such a difference, there couldn't be a better reason for making a donation than to help save a life.
“We are so impressed with the amazing work that Magpas does for those who suffer serious trauma in the region. Without the emergency support the charity provides many people would face a longer wait before they receive expert care, significantly reducing their chances of survival and recovery.” Neil Whiteley - Partner & Director of Legal Services - Personal Injury
Antonia Brickell, Head of Communications at Magpas, added: "I would like to thank Irwin Mitchell for their generous and thoughtful donation: funding a month's worth of equipment will help to make a critical difference."
