Internet Company Aims To Raise £10,000 From Event
The Sheffield office of national law firm Irwin Mitchell has announced its support for an innovative charity bike ride later this month which has been organised by ASK4 and aims to raise £10,000 fort Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.
Colleagues from ASK4, which provides internet solutions for student accommodation across the UK and Europe, will be riding 380 mile on the 5th to the 8th June between the four internet exchange points in the UK to raise vital funds for the Hospital.
Suitably called the ‘4Challenge’, the bike ride will see over 16 riders take on a route from London Docklands, to Manchester Science Park, to central Leeds and back to Sheffield over a four- day period.
The riders aim is to raise over £10,000 for the provision of a Digital Patient Information System in the hospital’s Radiotherapy Department, which treats people from across South Yorkshire.
Weston Park Hospital is home to the only radiotherapy department in South Yorkshire meaning that patients from across the region are required to attend for radiotherapy treatment on this specialised unit.
Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield is supporting the event and has sponsored the bike ride.
Matt Ainsworth, corporate partner at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield, said:
“Raising money to support the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity is extremely important and over the last 20 years it has played a crucial role and made a huge difference to the lives of thousands of people. It was Irwin Mitchell’s charity of the year in Sheffield last year and we know how important it is locally and nationally.
“Irwin Mitchell has a long-standing relationship with ASK4 and have been impressed by the forward-looking and progressive nature of that business. 4Challenge is yet another creative idea to come out of Ask4 and we look forward to it being a great success. The effort and determination of the 4Challenge team is hugely impressive and we are all behind them crossing the finishing line.”
