Personal Injury Lawyers Investigating Cause Of Head Injury

The family of a 15-year-old girl injured at the Flamingo Land theme park have instructed expert lawyers at Irwin Mitchell to investigate the cause of the accident and if more could have been done to prevent it.

The girl was struck in the head when a foot rail of a carriage of the Hero rollercoaster came loose and hit her as she queued for the ride.

She was knocked unconscious and paramedics treated her head injury at the scene and she was taken to Scarborough General Hospital for further treatment. Another woman, 26, was also injured when the part came off the moving ride.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and North Yorkshire Police are investigating the incident. Hero is one of the park's newest attractions, having opened in July 2013.
