Multiple Injuries In London And Birmingham Bus Crashes
Specialist serious injury lawyers acting for victims of several major bus crashes across the UK have revealed their concerns after a number of people were left injured after separate collisions in London and Birmingham.
London Ambulance Service has confirmed that it treated 12 people following a crash in the Manor Park area of east London, where it is thought that a single-decker bus crashed into a tree.
Five people were taken to hospital for treatment after the incident, including a man with a head injury and a woman in her sixties who was experiencing hip pain.
In a separate incident, a number of people were reportedly injured when a single-decker bus and a double-decker collided in Birmingham.
The drivers of the vehicles were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment along with seven others, while another seven people are believed to have been discharged at the scene.
Reports of both incidents have come just weeks after five people were injured when a double-decker bus’s roof was ripped off in central London after it crashed into a tree, while seven people were treated after a bus in south London collided with a bridge at the end of the July.
Specialist serious injury lawyers at Irwin Mitchell are now calling on authorities to work quickly to determine what steps can be taken to improve safety following the recent spate of incidents.
The legal experts act for the families of 15 children injured in a head-on bus crash in County Durham in June last year, while they are working to gain justice for staff and pupils from Alvechurch School injured in a coach crash in France in 2012.
