Irwin Mitchell has once again been recognised as having a market leading Personal Legal Services division as the firm secured 21 number one rankings with 66 recommended lawyers in an independent guide to the sector.

The independent Legal 500 2014 UK report ranks the firm as number one for Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, Family, Contentious Trusts and Probate, Court of Protection, Education and Travel.

The firm also improved its rankings in seven areas of law across the country including the Public Law team, which covers civil liberties and human rights, while the firm was also ranked for Professional Negligence, Personal Tax, Product Liability and Healthcare.

The firm performed strongly across the UK and in Bristol all of Irwin Mitchell’s legal teams moved up to take top spot which is a remarkable achievement for the office which only opened in 2010.

Irwin Mitchell acquired specialist personal injury firm MPH Solicitors at the end of 2013 and opened two new offices in Cambridge and Southampton this year. Personal Legal Services Chief Executive Craig Marshall says the impressive rankings show why the firm continues to grow and recruit lawyers who are leaders in their field.

Expert Opinion
Our extremely strong performance in the independent Legal 500 rankings shows that our personal legal services lawyers are very highly regarded. We have some of the best legal experts in the country working in our personal injury, private client and public law teams and they are achieving excellent results for our clients.

“Throughout the year we have regularly taken cases to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court as we fight for the rights of our clients, and we will continue to do so to further the best interests of the people we represent.

“It is testament to the hard work of all our staff that once again we have been able to improve our rankings and become the number one law firm in even more areas of personal legal services across the country. This has been an exciting year for the firm with two new office openings and many senior hires joining our legal teams. We look forward to growing the firm further so that we can help provide a quality legal service to even more people.”
