Specialists Instructed Regarding Problems In June
Legal experts specialising in helping victims of outbreaks across the globe have been instructed by passengers who have come forward regarding concerns related to illness on Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas cruise ship earlier this year.
Irwin Mitchell’s Travel Law team has been contacted for help in relation to reports of gastric illness onboard the vessel in June 2014.
Passengers who have contacted the national law firm have outlined concerns after suffering from symptoms of diarrhoea, nausea and lethargy, including a passenger who was quarantined as a result of the illness.
Irwin Mitchell has now commenced its own investigations into the problems on behalf of those who have been in touch.
Expert Opinion
We have a number of concerning reports regarding problems on this vessel, including a case where passengers have stated they were rushed to the ship’s medical centre for treatment.
“It can often be underestimated simply how much of an impact such illness issues can have on victims, as we have seen cases when people have gone on to develop long-term health conditions as a result of outbreaks of this nature.
“We are now making our own inquiries into this incident and would be keen to hear from anyone else who may have suffered as a result of problems onboard this ship.” Simon Prew - Team Leader & Senior Associate
