Significant Improvement In Ranking Quality

The strength of Irwin Mitchell’s fast-growing Business Legal Services (BLS) Group has been clearly demonstrated with another set of impressive results in the latest Chambers & Partners directory.

Across the UK, Irwin Mitchell listed 43 lawyers from within its BLS division as ‘leading individuals’ in their field.

The independent publication, which grades solicitors and barristers across 70 areas of law in the UK, ranked Irwin Mitchell as a ‘number one’ firm in five of Chambers’ commercial legal categories including tax, real estate, restructuring, professional negligence and banking. 

The BLS division had seven top ranked individuals and to highlight the significant investment that has been made in broadening the firm’s commercial offering in the last 12 months, Irwin Mitchell appeared in six new categories and saw 11 individuals being ranked for the first time.

Earlier this month, the firm also recorded its best ever results in the Legal 500 UK directory.  The firm saw six teams within its BLS division improve their ranking position within the annual guide. Following the success of the previous years, Irwin Mitchell is now ranked as a top three firm in 38 of Legal 500’s business related categories.

Since the start of 2012, Irwin Mitchell has announced 26 new partners within BLS and within the last year it has recruited a host of high profile legal experts including Nigel Kissack as its National Head of Commercial Litigation and IP specialist Alex Newman.

Other appointments include Real Estate lawyer, Ayesha Hasan, Commercial Litigation Partners Jonathan Sachs, Jonathon Crook and Dorrien Peters as well as Corporate & Commercial specialists Nick Dawson and Sarah Riding.
