Yorkshire-based Gravity Fitness Limited is set to create up to 35 jobs after announcing that it is to open the region’s first indoor trampoline park after agreeing terms to take a 18,000 sq ft unit at Xscape in Castelford.
Due to open in mid-January, the new £1,000,000 facility is targeted at adults, children and urban sport enthusiasts and will incorporate over 90 flat and angled trampolines, as well as foam pits and basketball hoops.
There are over 300 trampoline parks in America and the concept has now spread to other countries including Canada, Australia, Amsterdam, Ireland, Mexico and Singapore.
In the UK there are only a handful but the Bridlington-based business is already looking to launch new sites over the next few years.
