Irwin Mitchell Hosts Evening Examining Potential Opportunities For UK Business
The Sheffield office of national law firm Irwin Mitchell is hosting the latest South Yorkshire International Trade Forum (SYITF) next week, with a focus being placed on the trade opportunities available in South Africa.Baroness Scotland of Asthal, the Government’s trade envoy to South Africa, is the keynote speaker at the event, which is being held at Irwin Mitchell’s Riverside East office on November 25th from 5.15pm and will consider the economic climate, opportunities and success stories in relation to the country.
The UK is described as being in South Africa’s ‘Premier League’ of trading partners, with an annual bilateral relationship over £9.6 billion which is expected to double following targets set by ministers.
The event on South Africa is the latest in a long line of seminars which Irwin Mitchell has hosted as a proud sponsor of SYITF, which is also supported by Yorkshire Bank and BHP.
Laurence Gavin, a Partner at Irwin Mitchell, said: “SYITF provides local businesses with key information regarding the opportunities which could be available to them in overseas markets, with South Africa being a key area which many companies may simply view as being beyond their reach.
“This is of course not the case and this event, along with the speech by Baroness Scotland, will provide businesses with important information on how they can push their expertise into this market.”
