Experts Launch Investigations Into Reports
Travel law experts at Irwin Mitchell have been contacted for help by a British couple with concerns regarding reported illness on board the Queen Elizabeth world cruise in April 2014.
The couple have told lawyers at the national law firm that they fell ill during the cruise ship’s journey from Singapore to Dubai last month, reporting symptoms of gastric illness including diarrhoea and vomiting.
Irwin Mitchell’s specialist Travel Law team, which has helped thousands of victims of illness on cruise ships and at holiday resorts across the globe to gain justice in relation to such problems, has now launched its own investigations into the issue.
Suki Chhokar, a Partner at Irwin Mitchell, specialises in acting for victims in relation to holiday illness claims.
Expert Opinion
We are very concerned by these reports and are now commencing our own investigations into the reported problems.
"The impact such problems can have should not be underestimated, as we have seen numerous cases when people have developed long-term health problems as a result of illness on board cruise ships.
"Passengers who head on cruises expect and deserve the best possible experience, and we would be keen to hear from anyone else affected by these issues to develop a better picture of events on board this vessel." Suki Chhokar - Partner
