Senior Partners Praise Significant Rise In Rankings
Senior partners at Irwin Mitchell have reiterated the firm’s commitment to diversity after seeing the leading national law firm rise to 58th place in the 2014 Stonewall Workplace Equality Index.
The news, which sees the firm rise another 14 places – is the fourth consecutive year that Irwin Mitchell has ranked in the Top 100 of the Index, compiled by the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender lobby group and covering business in a range of sectors, including law. In addition, the firm’s diversity network group, IMEqual, received the prestigious Star Performer Award for the third time.
And partners praised the work of members of IMEqual and its dedicated Diversity Board. Both in raising awareness and promoting diversity throughout the firm’s eight national offices, through activities and support for Pride events in cities including Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Birmingham.

The Stonewall results follow on from Irwin Mitchell also being ranked within the top five law firms in the country in the demographic table of the 2013 Diversity League Table from the Black Solicitors Network.
