Police And Bus Company Investigate Incident

Avon and Somerset Police are working with transport company First Somerset to investigate a bus crash in Burnham-on-Sea which saw the vehicle topple into a ditch and left passengers injured.

Two people were taken to Weston General Hospital and a minor injuries unit in Burnham following the incident yesterday afternoon (February 27th), when the double-decker bus running the number 21 service to Taunton crashed.

According to reports, 16 passengers were on board the bus when the incident occurred and the driver was uninjured.

The road was closed while recovery of the vehicle involved was undertaken, with the route being cleared in a round three hours.
