By Rob Dixon
New figures which have revealed that house sales in the UK property market are continuing to increase have been welcomed by conveyancing specialists at Irwin Mitchell.
According to the latest housing market survey from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a net balance of 15 per cent more surveyors stated that transaction levels rose across last month.
The figures mean that January was also the four consecutive month in which transactions have increased. In addition, it revealed that prices were also broadly stable over the period analysed.
Such research has been welcomed by Irwin Mitchell’s specialist Conveyancing team, which has vast expertise in providing support on buying and selling property in the UK.
Helen Hutchison, a conveyancing expert based at the firm’s Sheffield office, said: “This research is yet another positive sign of the improvements being seen in the property market.
“Such trends have also been highlighted by our own figures which have shown an increase in instructions in the past month or so, as more and more people are becoming increasingly interested in reassessing their place on the property ladder.
“Just as we previously thought, it seems that many are looking at the start of 2013 as an ideal opportunity to make a fresh start and consider a potential move.
“It will be fascinating to see whether this positivity will continue throughout the year – and ultimate what impact it ends up having on the market as a whole.”
