Environmental Health Experts Investigating Incident At Distribution Centre

An investigation has been launched after six people were hospitalised following a suspected ammonia leak at a Brakes distribution centre in Grantham.

According to the Grantham Journal, South Kesteven District Council’s environmental health team is believed to be investigating the incident at the site on the town’s Palmer Road.

A spokesman for Brakes confirmed the leak related to a refrigeration pipe and stated that the issue was fixed within two hours. The company added it was assisting relevant authorities in their enquiries.
