Irwin Mitchell Expands Legal Offerings Across The South West
Irwin Mitchell’s Bristol office has given three budding legal professionals a step on the career ladder, appointing two new trainees and adding a newly qualified solicitor to expand the firm’s legal services across the South West.Trainees Naomi Brownlow and Lauren Gregory have joined the firm for the next year to work across all areas of law before deciding which area they would like to specialise in and former trainee, Rosalie Reading, has been offered a permanent position in the medical law and patient’s rights team, now she is fully qualified.
Trainee Lauren Gregory, originally from Warwick, studied Law at the University of Bristol and completed her LPC at the College of Law in the city. She has joined the Court of Protection team.
She said: “I am really excited to have joined Irwin Mitchell in Bristol as it is a leading national firm with a wealth of experience across all areas of law.
“Having studied in Bristol, it is a city I am already familiar with and very fond of and I am delighted to be able to stay on and begin my career here. I look forward to getting involved with all areas of the profession to help clients across the South West.”
Naomi Brownlow, who studied law at the University of Manchester and has joined the workplace injury team, said: “I am really excited about joining Irwin Mitchell in Bristol. I completed a week vacation placement with the firm and learnt a great deal.
“The firm’s friendly atmosphere, rigorous approach to cases and emphasis on client care made me know that this was the law firm for me. Irwin Mitchell has one of the strongest reputations as a provider of personal legal services and I look forward to making a positive difference to clients and contributing to the firm’s reputation.”
Newly qualified Rosalie Reading, who took up her new position as a clinical negligence solicitor at the beginning of September, said: “I am overjoyed to have been offered a permanent position in the Bristol Medical Law and Patients’ Rights team. I have had a fantastic two years undertaking my training contract at Irwin Mitchell and feel privileged to be able to continue my career with a reputable and successful firm that has such a strong client focus.
“Over the last two years I have witnessed the Bristol office evolve and simply go from strength to strength. I am extremely excited about what the future holds for me at Irwin Mitchell.”
As well as the latest appointments, the firm has signed up to the Bristol College of Law mentoring scheme for the third year running to support emerging legal talent in the South West.
This academic year, three lawyers have been assigned a student who is on the Graduate Diploma in Law (GSDL) or Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the College of Law and will assist with their applications for training contracts, general advice on the legal market and offering work experience.
