Inquest Into Death Of Mother Of Two At Wakefield Hospital

30.05.2012

An inquest into the death of a 38-year-old woman from Castleford who died at Pinderfields Hospital in May 2009 will resume on Friday (1 June 2012).

Tracy Hall, a married mother of to two, died on 12 May 2009 after undergoing surgery related to her digestive system.

She had been suffering from Crohn’s disease before her death, a condition which causes the chronic inflammation of the lining of the digestive system.

Anna Bosley, a medical law specialist at Irwin Mitchell, who represents Tracy’s mother Carol Harris, said: “The family is very grateful to the coroner for investigating Tracy’s death so thoroughly as they feel there are many important questions to be answered about the care Tracy received at Pinderfields Hospital.

“Tracy’s death has had a devastating impact on the whole family and they hope the coroner will help provide answers about how she died.”

Mary Burke, HM Assistant Deputy Coroner for Leeds, will resume the inquest to give her verdict at Leeds Coroner’s Court at 10am.
