Glasgow Woman Appealing For Information After Crash Outside School
A grandmother who was knocked down by a driver outside a primary school is appealing for information to help specialists from law firm Irwin Mitchell investigate the incident.
Jean Maguire, 63, of Glasgow, was getting out of the passenger side of her car when she was hit by the female driver of a red Punto, who was performing a three-point turn.
Emergency services attended the scene of the incident outside St Barbara’s Primary School on Elmira Road, Muirhead, Glasgow, at 10.45am on 24 November 2011.
Jean was transferred to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where she was treated for a chipped ankle bone, which caused extensive swelling and bruising.
Injury specialists at Irwin Mitchell are now investigating the accident on behalf of Mrs Maguire and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Elaine Russell, a solicitor in the serious injury team at Irwin Mitchell, said: “The accident occurred outside a primary school following a busy community event and just a few minutes away from a busy chapel conducting a funeral mass. There were therefore lots of people in the area who may have witnessed the incident and we urge anyone who saw what happened to contact Irwin Mitchell.”
